About

My name is Jillian Schulte, and I in my 13th year as an educator. Currently, I am a Magnet Coordinator and 21st Century Learning Specialist at Kenwood Leadership Academy Magnet School in the Cedar Rapids Community School District. Prior to this role, I spent over ten years as an elementary music specialist and PLC Leader. I received a Bachelor of Music Education/Music Therapy (BME-MT) dual degree from Wartburg College, Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) from Morningside College, and obtained National Board Certification (NBCT) in Vocal Music: Early and Middle Childhood. Most recently, I completed a Master of Science in Education (MSE) with Principal Licensure at Drake University.

While teaching in the music classroom, my passion for integrated approaches and inspiring student voice was born. My mission became connecting music to other academic areas to provide a connected purpose and a meaningful experience while inspiring students to find their voice. In my current role, I have the amazing opportunity to continue sharing, designing, and co-creating integrated approaches to support student driven learning. I am passionate about cultivating positive relationships to support and empower students and colleagues to lead, learn, and grow!
